Engine Tune-Up
- A tune-up is essential to vehicle maintenance. You’ll need to follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended service schedule.
- During a typical Tandem Tire tune-up our technician will check the following:
- Replace the air filter as needed
- Replace the fuel filter(s)
- Install new spark plugs
- Check spark plug wires for irregular wear
- Inspect and replace the distributor cap if the vehicle has one
- Inspect and replace a new rotor if the vehicle has one
- Inspect the valve cover gasket and adjust the valves on vehicles with adjustable ones
- Check and top off any fluids
- Check the battery for charging power and clean the terminals
- Replace the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve as needed
